4th installment:
sep 1999-feb 2000

Has it really been six months since i last updated this renovation? Man, does time go by..... A lot has happened over the last six months, but unfortunately not to the Isetta. I got a new job, lost my sandblasting source (he retired), released a compact disc of Austin electronic music, and, the real killer, initiated a major remodel  on our house that completely rebuilt the kitchen, studio, and added a back porch. We hired someone else to do the work, and silly me thought I would be able to continue unabated on the rolling egg. Hows that saying go: 'Don't count your eggs before they hatch'? I got pulled into the details of the remodel and underestimated the life-sucking ability (ever see twister?) of having no kitchen, a disaster for a house, and dust everywhere (including all over my beloved Isetta!). My backyard looks like something straight outta south Austin...

But alas, dear Isetta enthusiasts, I am now comfortable in my job, have a benchtop blaster, have released that disc, and the remodel nears completion (it was worth it...)! Forward I will march, yay bravely, back into the Isetta restoration!!!

As I am now just getting back into it, I really don't have anything good to show. However, I do have some new, hippyesque photos of the frame and carburator as well as a goofy shot of a bud in the the shot-up 'setta. Thanks everyone for the interest and words of encouragement. Now, back to the Isetta....
